Courses
I am creating courses for educators who want to explore aspects of digital storytelling, service learning and global citizenship and I would love to see you join me and a team of like-minded educators online.
Three cohorts of educators have taken "Becoming a Digital Storyteller" and teachers in all cohorts have immediately designed and launched new digital storytelling experiences with students. It's exciting and transformative work! Not only will digital storytelling lead to greater student engagement and deep learning in your classroom; it will also amplify your service learning and global citizenship experiences and enhance literacy and communication skills.
Becoming a Digital StorytellerThis 4-week course involves 1-2 hours of asynchronous learning each week as well as a 1-hour synchronous zoom session with the educators in your cohort. It is designed to introduce you to the power of digital storytelling and equip you to coach and lead your students as well as produce your own content to publish online.
NEXT COURSE: JULY 2023 |
Digital Storytelling for Deep Listening & ExpressionThis 5-week course leads you through a digital storytelling experience from start to finish, starting with deep and compassionate listening, and then the creation of a personal narrative digital story.
Throughout this course, you will develop and hone your own digital storytelling skills, and you will also master the framework so you can use it with your students right away. This is a hands-on, experiential journey where we will listen to each other, explore important questions about our own humanity and the future of our world, create together and share our digital storytelling products. d'Arcy LunnEiM Group Head of Sustainability and Global Citizenship, and Teaspoons of Change Founder and Director"The course was a lovely and useful exploration in digital storytelling where we learnt and engaged based on enthusiasm and curiosity instead of obligation and prescription. The best resources were each other and group learning, and of course LeeAnne, who facilitates and curates this ecosystem of peer discovery and learning with her passion and expertise. I’m excited for more of our educators and others I know to take on this wonderful entry point into digital storytelling and creating positive change."
