School Partnerships… what they can look like
A multi-year coaching partnership
I have been working with Orange Lutheran High School’s Missions team for several years to create and sustain a curriculum rooted in service, action, and well-being.
Strategic global citizenship (all-school and divisional)
The team at the Western Academy of Beijing is building a robust and deeply-rooted all-school global citizenship (GC) program. I have been partnering with their team to support:
online courses for cohorts of teachers
coaching for GC strategic planning, timelines and core documents
on-site PD and curriculum design workshops
PD, strategic planning, and on-site workshops
Partnering with the American Community School of Abu Dhabi has involved many aspects of coaching, facilitating professional learning, and supporting leaders in creating strategic plans for service learning and storytelling.
Coaching for Curriculum Redesign
When a middle school teacher at the International School of Kenya wanted to redesign a unit with service as action and community engagement as a foundation, I was able to coach her through designing and leading an impactful new unit. This story captures the coaching journey, as well as its impact in creating an anchor curricular service learning experience.
Helping a School Deepen its Service Learning Approach
When I had an opportunity to visit Schutz American School in Alexandria, Egypt, I was excited to collaborate with teachers, students, and the Board about service learning approaches and mindsets to fulfill the school mission.
Becoming an exemplar AISA community engagement & learning school
I have had the privilege of working with the team at Al-Rayan International School in Ghana to establish a service learning leadership team and a 3-year service learning strategic plan. I provide ongoing support to the leadership team, as well as ongoing virtual and in-person PD and coaching for teams. The results are deep and impactful, and ARIS is becoming a model AISA (Association of International Schools in Africa) service learning school.
